Support & Love for Kirk & Jamie

Minneapolis, MN

Story

Our dear friend Kirk has recently been involved in a serious accident and faces a long road to recovery. He is nothing if not a fighter, but there's no doubt that support from his community is needed now more than ever. Please take a look at the different ways in which we can show up for both Jamie and Kirk in the coming weeks and months. And know that no contribution goes unnoticed-- and each gift, be it of food, financial, or prayer-- plays a crucial role in his return to health.

Special Notes

Right now, Kirk's doctors are kindly asking that we not visit him. But we can continue to show our support in so many other ways- most pressingly by providing the Pritzlaff family & Kirk's relatives with food and supplies so that they can stay entirely focused on his health and recovery. This will start off as a somewhat unconventional meal train, as Kirk's immediate family and close friends will be spending unknown hours at the hospital. So, instead of making food, we are focusing on collecting Venmo donations toward specific restaurants, grocery stores, and for general transportation. This will allow Jamie & others to get to/from the hospital and purchase food when/as they need it. To support Kirk's relatives, you can use the "Donate via Venmo" button and designate your funds toward groceries. For Jamie, we're asking that you assign your Venmo donation to one of her go-to restaurants/stores: Chipotle, Crisp&Green, PURA LIMA Cantina, Sweet Greens, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe's. Simply note your preference within your Venmo payment. You can also purchase Target, Visa, and Walmart gift cards, or give a general donation through the "Donate via Venmo" button. These contributions will be pooled and used to meet other needs such as supplies, transportation, accommodation and more. As their needs change over the weeks and months we will update the requests, gift cards, restaurants, and likely roll out a more traditional meal train to ensure we are continuing to offer them the most targeted support possible.
