Amber's niece, Alyssa, broke her ankle in December which required surgery on Christmas Eve. Since then she has been recovering slowly but surely. Unfortunately an extensive clot has formed that reaches from her leg into her lungs. She will need to be hospitalized for an unknown length of time to receive treatment to dissolve the clot. Meals would be a huge help as Amber goes back and forth between her younger kids, Lorelai and Logan at home, and Alyssa in the hospital.
