Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 Most of you know that Becky Muncy has been diagnosed with Leukemia, specifically CLL – Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. This is in addition to Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), which has reached the stage of severe chronic pain, inflammation, and is more and more often debilitating. She is currently anemic. All of this is causing walking across the room, walking on the stairs, household chores, visiting with friends, etc. to cause shortness of breath, pain and acute fatigue. We would love to invite her church community and friends to sign up to help Becky with her day-to-day needs. Please click on the calendar to sign up for however you would like to bless Becky with dinners twice a week, laundry once a week, and Walmart pickup & delivery on Mondays between 6pm-7pm. That way we will all know how we can best come along side of her. Becky is all about relationships. She loves all of you. However, at this time we are asking that you do not call her or come over to visit. Currently, Becky is going to bed around 8pm, as well as napping during the day. Some great alternatives would be to write in the comments on this site, email Becky at becksterm@outlook.com or send her a card. Please know that she is grateful for your love and all you do for her, but that she may not feel up to sending her thanks to you in a text or card at this time. Becky may not even be able to acknowledge your emails or comments on this site. She may even ask you to just drop off her food/laundry/Walmart at her door at a specified time, as she will not be up & “dressed” for company. (Look for a note on her door if she hasn't contacted you but doesn't answer the door.) But make no mistake, she will be encouraged and thankful for each of you, and all you do. More than anything Becky wants your prayers. Please join Becky in praising God for His great love and provision for her. Pray that His will is done in her life, that her pain will be eased, that her medical team will be proactive in their care for her, and that Becky and this situation will glorify God. Also know that Becky is praying for each of you at this time. Thank you for helping us surround Becky with love, support, and prayer. While she is so often the one pouring into others, it’s our turn to pour into her. Let's rally together to ensure Becky feels completely loved and covered through this journey.
