This meal train for was created to help support the Luikart family after Chuck was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer with metastasis to the brain. At the beginning of September, Chuck suddenly developed neurological symptoms that prompted an ER visit. While in the ER, a CT scan revealed several tumors on his brain, and lesions in both lungs. He was transported to The James Cancer Center for further testing and evaluation. After a week in the hospital and week and a half in rehab, the biopsy results came back as stage four non-small cell lung carcinoma. The course of treatment has been ever changing as there have been set backs and new findings. So far, he has received one round of chemotherapy and had brain surgery to remove two large masses on the right side of the brain. Chuck has been in and out of the hospital, thus has his wife as she stays by his side. This meal train was started to help take the burden off Pat as she navigates this overwhelming time. At this time, we are seeking support in the form of home cooked meals, meal delivery, or gift cards.
