On Thursday, November 7th Christa had a bad fall. She has broken both ankles, had surgery, and is in full leg casts for 4-6 weeks. Then she will have months of physical therapy. She cannot bear any weight for at least 4 weeks. She will need help constantly with pretty much all tasks and faces many frustrations and challenges. All while her very active young son needs entertaining and to be cared for. This was so unexpected and brings a lot of medical bills, plus items to make next 4-6 weeks survivable, like medical equipment. And this is happening right at the Holidays. Everyone knows Christa is fiercely independent and loathes asking for help. Even allowing me to make this page was very hard for her. But I know how loved they are and how we all want to be able to take some of the burden off of them, whether that be play dates or entertaining Tucker, meals, snacks, or monetary help. Most of all they request continued prayers for her recovery/pain; all of their mental state during such a time of upheaval and limitations; for Tucker; for Cody and his mother, who are doing all of the heavy lifting as caretakers; for her medical team; and for her heart. ✝️ Let’s rally around her, Cody, Tucker, and their family!♥️
