On February 9, a lithium battery from a leaf blower started on fire in Justin & Allison's garage. Thankfully Allison smelt something and checked the garage where she spotted the fire. Her, Justin, their three boys (ages 6, 5 and 3) and two cats where able to get safely outside. Justin was going to go back in and try to put out the fire with an extinguisher and fire blanket, but in less than a minute, it had spread too fast. Due to not having a fire hydrant on their street, multiple municipality fire departments were called in to help. Fire trucks were staged down the road at the nearest hydrant to fill up their tanks and rotate in to help. Unfortunately, the home, and everything in it, is a total loss. The whole family is grateful that no one was hurt but the loss of everything is devastating.
