Story
Update: Bob is Home. Around 9:30 last night, after a day filled with love and visitors, Bob’s niece Emily prayed over him before she left. Holding his hand, she thanked God for his ministry, all the people he’s touched, and all those he’ll meet in heaven. She prayed for him to go quickly and painlessly, and as soon as the prayer ended, we realized he had taken his last breath. “The angles beckon me, to heaven’s open door, and I can’t, no I can’t, feel at home in this world anymore.” We are so thankful that Bob was ushered into heaven with a prayer, with Robyn by his side and surrounded by family and all your love. He knows much about heaven now; we can only imagine his hearty handshake with Peter, and beautiful reunion with Josh, Aubrey, mom, dad, and all those who passed before him. We thank God that he is “where sickness has no power to hurt.” Click below to listen to his song, “I Wanna Be” https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=7864418 _____________________________________ Bob (lovingly called Papa and DaddyBob) was admitted to the ICU on Sunday, May 14th. His lymphoma has returned with a vengeance and caused an infection in his lungs which made it hard to breathe. He has been in the hospital since and is still struggling very much to breathe. The doctors have said that the cancer has gotten into his lungs and airways. We’re waiting on a plan from the doctors for the next steps. Watching him struggle to breathe is painful, and we covet your prayers. Many have been asking how to support us (Robyn and Andrew & Kate) as we navigate this current state of constant hospital visits and managing a household. We thought this would be the best way to manage this. Below we have a list of specific needs that we will keep updated. We will also post Bob’s updates as they come in, so if you want to check in this is a good place to start We love and appreciate all of you! Please feel free to call Kate if you have any questions.
