In the latter half of 2023, Jake started experiencing a sharp decline in health, and after months of tests and appointments, the cause was finally found on Wednesday, November 29th via a CT scan. Jake was instructed to drive directly to the hospital, where it was confirmed that he has colon cancer and an infection due to a perforation of the colon. An emergency operation to remove a little under half of his colon was performed on Friday, December 1st. While the surgery was successful, there is still some remaining cancer to address, which means Jake will have chemotherapy and a longer road to recovery. Many people are asking how they can support our family, and this site is our way of organizing these requests. Thank you so much for caring enough to be here! Of all the help we need, honestly, the gift cards listed below would ease the strain on the family the most.
