Meal Train for Cammi

Elmwood, WI

Story

As many of you know Cammi suffered an injury to her left leg in 2015 which has resulted in several surgeries, forcing her to take time off of work and causing significant financial strain. A few months ago, Cammi started experiencing pain in her left knee and she decided to go in. It was determined that Cammi had sepsis in her knee and she was then admitted to the hospital. Cammi had surgery to remove her artificial knee and was placed on IV antibiotics in hopes of the infection clearing. Not only has Cammi been out of work since this infection occurred in April but she has also made the stoic decision to have her left leg amputated above the knee in hopes of finally getting her life back to normal. Surgery is scheduled for August 28th and Cammi will likely need to go to a rehabilitation facility after surgery to recover. Let’s help take some of the strain off her and her family by preparing meals for her and the kids, so she can focus on her recovery.

Special Notes

Since Cammi and her family live in a small town there isn’t many options for takeout. If you don’t feel like cooking a meal you can still donate gift cards and Madison (her oldest daughter) can pick up dinner or take the younger kids out to eat. Gift card ideas include; Subway, Chipotle, Noodles and Company, Applebees, McDonalds, Dominos, etc….
