Molly’s Postpartum Support

Portland, OR

Story

Hello Friends and Family! Both Nate and I feel that a key piece in our journey into parenthood is being able to fully relax and bond with our new baby postpartum. Something that can help with that is the ability to not worry about food, unexpected visits, and household duties. This is a time we feel is appropriate to ask all of you to help us out with these things! Whether it’s cooking us a meal to drop off (without the expectation of being invited in), volunteering to take our dogs for a walk, doing the laundry, or just sending us encouraging notes, we would be grateful for the support. No one really knows what they’ll fully need until they’re in the thick of it, but we hope this will give us a head start. Nate will be in charge of communication so feel free to text him if you’re thinking of helping in any way (971-404-4983). Thank you so much for being apart of our journey. Much love for you all!

Special Notes

If you’re thinking of cooking for us or ordering food to be delivered, we would love it if you focused on warming, easily digestible foods! Our biggest need will be for lunch/dinner so think soup, stew, curry, cooked greens, etc. High protein is greatly appreciated. One handed snacks will also be a huge need. Neither of us have dietary restrictions but want to focus on nutrient dense meals. If you want more specifics, go ahead and text Nate beforehand and we’ll give you more details. As for visiting our house, we ask that above all else, you do not show up uninvited or expect that a welcome visit = holding Theo. This time is for us to bond as a family not for us to host. This doesn’t mean there won’t be times to love on babe. We just ask that you come in with the mindset of “How can I meet their needs” rather than “I want my needs met”. Again, we don’t expect anything from anyone so don’t feel bad if you’re not in a place to give a whole lot. Even a simple “I’m thinking of you” text goes a long way. We love you all!
