This page was created by Christina Cano’s friend, Tanya Valentine, who wanted to do what she could to support Christina and Ainslee through this health challenge that has shaken their world. Ainslee is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with stage III Burkitt’s Lymphoma (a type of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma). She presented with a stomach virus and had emergency surgery to have her appendix removed on 4/13/24. When they did the surgery they found that the Cancer had infiltrated into her lower abdomen. Not only was she going to be asked to recover from surgery, but also begin a journey of healing from cancer. Ainslee is energetic, enthusiastic, vivacious, caring, and compassionate and this news has really impacted her. She has already begun intense chemotherapy treatment, and we are hopefully optimistic she will enter into remission within 8 months or so. Please consider showing your support to this sweet girl and help her family as they fight this thing together. Christina will have to take a break from her job in order to give Ainslee the care that she needs during this time. Due to the amount of time they will be spending in the hospital over the next 8 months, it would be kind to consider sending them a gift card for meals to be delivered such as door dash.
