Support for Meghan, Sean & Percy!

Portland, ME

Story

Hey lovely friends of The Wilkinson/Carey family! Our friend Percy Wilkinson has been having some health issues and his family could really use our support! As you may know, Percy was in the hospital with Guillain-Barré syndrome in October which has left him with some lasting symptoms. He's definitely on the road to recovery, but must do Physical Therapy 3 times a week and is relearning how to do a lot of gross motor things he mastered long ago. He's retained his beautiful spirit and positive attitude, but between doctors visits, PT sessions and helping him just get through the day with headaches and the inability to do many of the tasks he can normally do, Meghan and Sean could really use some help. PS. we all know they NEVER ask for help so I begged Meghan to let me do this for them because I really feel like they need their community right now. xx

Special Notes

What would be most helpful is to sort out dinner for them a few times each week! This will be so easy if we all sign up for a few days each. Deliver it frozen if you can so they can cook it when it's convenient and it won't spoil if you get there while they are out. If you can't make it over with food, please send a gift certificate - I'm recommending sending a gift card from Rosemont Market so they can buy prepared food in a pinch! https://rosemont-merchandise-market.myshopify.com/products/copy-of-gift-card-100 + Their address is 310 Summit Street, Portland, Me + No hazelnuts + Please leave food in the chest cooler in front of the vintage Scout truck in their driveway + Please leave food in a container that doesn't need to be returned + Please comment below to let people know what you are bringing over and when + It's ok to deliver on the same day as someone else. It's all helpful and they will freeze meals for later + Let's try to communicate on this platform instead of blowing up their cell phones! See message section below!

I will bring over a Zuppa Toscana soup and a crusty baguette (all frozen). Hope to drop it off this evening or next. I also live right around the corner at 513 Summit so if anything is needed on the fly, I’m close. My number is (207) 251-1780. ❤️ Ethan sends his Little Dolphin School buddy big hugs.

11/21 (Thursday) delivery here: Chili and cornbread (spice to suit on the side). Hoping to make a couple soups to leave you for lunches as well. How annoying that humans need to eat so constantly, right? .... not surprised that the great Perseus overcame Medusa's curse! As we know from the myths, there are always more twists and turns even after great victories, but Percy has the right stuff. Here's hoping the epic proportions of this health journey can come back down to size, even as his outsized resilience remains. You guys are so strong. Lots of love.
