On Friday the 13th 2024 Chuck suffered a stroke. He had been complaining of a headache for at least a week. On Friday he had gone to bed and woke up to use the restroom, when coming back to bed he ran into the bed. Julie, his wife asked if everything was ok. He then told her his right side was numb. She immediately took him to the ER in Cherokee where they did a CT scan that determined he had a blood clot in his head. They brought him by ambulance to Sanford in Sioux Falls around 2am. Julie got here bright and early Saturday morning and his son Pat & daughter in law Steph werent far behind her. Chuck makes no sense when talking. He can not form sentences. He recognizes us & knows his wife Julies name but does not remember his son Pat’s name or Stephs name. They did another CT scan at 4pm today (Saturday) and that came “stable”. The clot was still there but hadnt gotten any bigger. They will do another one at 1:45am to see if there is any change. For now that is all we know. Please keep Chuck in your thoughts and prayers
