Team JP supports the Bourner Family during JP's hospital stay and beyond to whatever the family might need to help take a little of the burden off of them during this difficult time. Please do not feel obligated to donate anything. Your prayers and well wishes are just as powerful! On Sunday, April 29th, JP had a seizure while at a birthday party. After being transferred to the emergency room it was discovered that he also had a seizure earlier in the day. The initial CT revealed a tumor on the left side of his brain. Later MRIs would determine that the tumor is on the left temporal lobe and is the size of a baseball. Although the tumor is cancerous, it is considered low grade, which is the best possible scenario, other than being benign. On Thursday, May 2nd JP's tumor was removed and he is currently recovering. Pathology results could take up to 3 weeks. During this time, Thomas and Hillary are staying with JP at Children's Hospital in St. Louis. While they are not requesting anything at this time, the immediate unexpected expenses are food, gas to travel back and forth to visit Carter and their pets, as well as miscellaneous trips to Walmart and Target. As their needs change, the page will be updated to reflect other ways we can rally around them, lift them up, and support them.
