Hello Corrinna’s Caring Community, As most of you are aware, in mid April Corrinna was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and has chosen to have a bilateral mastectomy. Surgery is scheduled for July 12, 2024. Nuclear imaging, July 11. PreOp, July 1…where she will get more details on the treatment plan. We are truly overwhelmed with all the love and support being offered to Corrinna, Lili, and their 4 legged friends during their time of need. Being a single mom and primary provider for Lili and her household is a big concern and has weighed heavy on Corrinna’s heart and mind. While the recovery process takes place, Corrinna’s meal and catering services, her only source of income, will come to a halt, which adds stress and concern. With guidance from those closest to Corrinna, we have begun to problem solve and discuss ways all of us can lend support. Corrinna has had the opportunity to meet with others who have walked this journey who have graciously given insight on what she is about to walk through and who have shared knowledge on what has worked for them and what she may potentially need from us in order to be most helpful. That said, there may likely be times during this journey that Corrinna and/or Lili may not know what is needed in the moment. In order for her care community to continue to support her during these times of uncertainty, she has created an Amazon wishlist full of recommended items to assist in the care of her, Lili, their furry friends, and items to keep their household running smoothly. We are still working out the details for how delivery works best and will update when we have it all figured out. If no one is available to receive your meal, a cooler will be provided on the back porch. Meanwhile, we would like to fill as many dates as possible to alleviate any concern in this area of care. Right now the main need is for dinner. We have requested dinner for 4 so that whoever is assisting the household that evening will also be able to enjoy the meal. We have also added groceries to the list in case there are needs outside of the dinner request or special items you may want to provide to aid in special snacks, pet essentials, etc. If you prefer to provide groceries, please select that option on the calendar and plan to provide a gift card to one of the listed stores, as we will have designated shoppers making grocery runs as things are needed. We will continue to share updates on this page and Corrinna intends to also update on her journey as much as she is able.
