I was horseback riding on Saturday March 1st, when the horse I was on started to trot down a hill. Since I only have one leg, I couldn’t grip and flew off the horse on my short leg side, landed on a bunch of rocks and fractured my hip as well as a one of my ribs. I was taken to a local hospital via an ambulance and they did all the tests and X-rays and determined I did in fact fracture my hip. But, since I used a wheelchair 100% of the time I should be fine to go home. The next day at home was excruciatingly painful and I ended up taking another ambulance to another hospital where they scheduled surgery for the next day. After surgery, they let me go home the next afternoon and that’s where I am now!
