Kinzie is scheduled for a total hip replacement March 3rd, 2025. Shad a child hip disorder when she was younger called slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) where she had to undergo bilateral pinning of both hips in 2002 for her left hip, and 2003 for her right hip. 2 months ago, she had increase in pain (left worse than right) and felt her left hip catching when she bent over, and pain when she went to stand up after sitting. The orthopedic surgeon she saw did Xray's and showed severe left (bone on bone) hip arthritis with persistent deformity of left femur. with complete joint space collapse. Kinzie has an energetic 5-year-old and will need all the help she can get.
