Story
In April of this year, Wayne (or, as some of you know him, Kai) had a hemorrhagic stroke, followed by two brain surgeries. Then in May, and again in July, he suffered transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), sometimes called "mini strokes." He has been moved from his home in Sonoma to an assisted living facility in San Francisco where he has access to more intensive therapy, and is closer to his friends. By visiting him, you will be assisting in his recovery in a very real way. For a stroke victim, visitors are not merely a pleasant diversion; they provide mental stimulation and emotional support, both of which are integral to the healing process. Wayne has healed so many of us. This is our chance to return the favor. PLEASE NOTE: You can visit Wayne any day. Visits are especially welcome on weekends, as Saturday and Sunday are the only days he does not have physical therapy sessions.
