My mom is {finally} getting her knee replaced on March 3rd. The doctors have told her that she will need anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks of help with things around the house but she will most certainly need more like 3 months of supportive company around her as she is home recovering by herself. I (Emilee) will be playing the role of orthopedic nurse for the first week after surgery so will hopefully get her through the worst of the mobility limitations and enjoy some good mother/daughter time! Mom is no stranger to knee surgery recoveries and we are praying that she feels immediate relief from the pain she's coped with for so may years. She may, however, still need some help with getting to/from appointments and with some housework, groceries, etc. For a start, however, Bobby, Steven and I would love to invite friends to bring a meal to SHARE with her - spend time with her and encourage her as she begins her recovery.
