Supporting heather

Irvington, IL

Story

Just a page to keep everyone updated. Most know Heather was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer involving the lung back n June of 23. She went thru chemo and now does maintenance drugs every 3 weeks. The cancer cells shrunk with chemo and the maintenance drugs are keeping them at that state. Which is a good thing Heather has other health issues that she had before cancer but her health isn’t getting any better since it’s getting worse. Worse as in…. Heather has taken many falls here lately. Lots of soreness scrapes and bruises. No broken bones thank goodness. She is now depending on canes but mostly a walker but has to use a motorized cart when going to a store. Heather is unable to walk long distance for a few reasons. She has severe back pain which we are waiting to be referred to a pain management doctor Her oxygen levels are low and she struggles to breathe so they are working on getting her on oxygen full time as well. She’s going for a sleep study to see if she needs a bypap instead of a cpap to sleep. Heather sees many doctors now days and has no energy anymore

Special Notes

Heather is allergic to all nuts most adhesive bandages and paper tape. She has to do lots of protein. So we go thru the protein powder and milk ALOT. Heather is also diabetic so gotta watch the sugars
