Story
Let me tell you about our friend Ellen. Her spiritual gift is taking care of others. She is the first person to offer help whether it is just being a listening ear, offering physical assistance, providing food.... the list goes on and on. It is our turn to help Ellen and her family. On Christmas day, Ed fell in the bathroom. Ellen and Andrew went to his assistance and found that he was confused and unable to communicate. He was taken to a local hospital and then to a St. Louis hospital. It was determined that he had a clot in the brain and there was no way to safely remove the clot. He came home on hospice. He is very happy and comfortable at home, sleeping mostly, but shows a bright smile when awake. This is not the outcome anyone was expecting. Surgery was expected, a recovery period and healing, but that is not what happened. This family knows God and is aware of the promises of everlasting life. Although, this is such a difficult time, they are thankful for those promises! Thank you for showing Ellen that she and her family are loved! Scheduling meals, sending donations, posting messages of support, and and most of all please continue to lift them up in prayer.
