Story
Betty and Trovoy Mercer are the rare kind of people you meet once in a lifetime. Their kindness and faith flows into all they do. Their children are cut from the same cloth; wise beyond their years, and they exude sunshine. Anyone close to them can attest to their ability to make people feel seen, heard, and loved. Betty and Trovoy have longed to expand their family for years now. Having two girls and one boy already, they prayed for another son to love. Their prayers were answered this year; a new baby was on the way. Boy or girl, everyone was ready to love and cherish the new member of the Mercer family. The family was blessed with a baby boy they got to love for too short a time. Prince Mercer was born sleeping on December 4th. The Mercer home grieves this loss deeply, finding strength in each other. When one of their friends or family has a hard time, they are always there to provide support, however they can. It is at this time that they need that support themselves. This page is organized so family, friends, and neighbors can offer the Mercers their love, in the form of meals or groceries. Comfort food can help with the physiological effects of grief on the body and mood. Food is symbolic of love. A family of five mourns the loss of their sixth. The burden of shopping, cooking, and feeding the family is one I hope we can all assist with.
