I found out last week I have breast cancer and have to undergo intense chemo. My only adult dream was to one day be a parent and chemo jeopardizes this dream. My team referred me to a fertility clinic for fertility conservation only to find out that my insurance does not cover it, even with my diagnosis. I am absolutely devastated to find out that the only thing I’ve ever wanted may be taken from me by my cancer. The only option I can think of is to reach out for help and support. It is my hope that there is a program or organization that can help me cover my expenses so I can start my chemo at the beginning of December 2024.
