Hi, I’m Arri, and I’m starting my PhD in Social Welfare this fall at Florida International University (FIU). This journey has not been easy. However, it’s a chance to deepen my work in disaster mental health and support communities during their most difficult times. As I transition into this new chapter, I won’t be working full-time, which makes managing day-to-day expenses and the cost of essentials more challenging.
