Story
A message from Natalie: It is with a heavy heart that I share that Russell died on Saturday, November 23,2024. Russell was my husband and partner for 22 years. Over that time, we established roots in Carmel Valley and built a family that would become the beacon we centered our lives around. Russell was a kind and devoted man who cared about people and loved those closest to him deeply. As anyone who knew Russell would attest, there was no one that Russell loved more than our boys, Griffin and Quinn. He loved being a dad and cherished spending time with his kids, whether it was coaching their teams, helping them with their homework, or simply spending time with them at home. It’s impossible to digest that we will never see Russell smile or hear him laugh again, and the boys and I are heartbroken at the thought. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and I am happy that I live in a village, both physically and emotionally, as I am surrounded by many people who loved Russell. While the boys and I are still struggling to process what has happened and are not quite ready to talk about it, once the dust settles around the shock, I hope people will share with me and/or Griffin and Quinn a story, an anecdote, or simply something they remember about Russell. Those memories keep Russell alive in our hearts and ensure that his boys will never forget how truly special their dad was and how much he loved them. Finally, the main thing that has struck me about this is that you never know when it is the last time that you will see or speak with someone you love. I never imagined that Russell would be gone, and my kids and I would give anything in the world to talk to him again, to hug him again, and to tell him how much he is loved. Please make sure to love and cherish the people in your life, tell them that you love them, tell them how important they are to you, and let them know that they matter. Natalie, Griffin, and Quinn Russell is survived by his wife, Natalie and their two boys, Quinn and Griffin. The tragic and sudden loss of Russell has been difficult on the family and Natalie has indicated that it would be helpful to have support a few days a week in preparing healthy meals. If you are interested in supporting them during this difficult time, please consider signing up to provide a meal or a gift card for a local restaurant. Natalie and her boys are appreciative of the support and are beyond thankful for the kindness so many have shown them over the last few weeks.
Special Notes
While all support is welcome and appreciated, Natalie is trying to ensure that she and the kids are maintaining strong nutrition, so they ask that less healthy options be limited.
