You guys know Mikey B.? My father is absolutely the most resilient, resourceful and strongest characters I’ve ever known. Although he is a very private person, (probably going to kill me for this) he is also a very social person and has been through a lot. Despite the challenges that are inevitable being a quadriplegic and even though constant support is needed to help his days run smoothly, he has never and will never allow himself to be a victim of his circumstance. He is literally the definition of perseverance. (I wanted to say perseverance and patience …. But he is human after all! Lol. Relying on others 24/7 is a patience tester for certain). At this point, people are probably wondering what I’m asking for and why. It’s simple. Casey and I want our village of supporters to show up and rally to let this man, this father, grandfather, captain, friend and lover of life (and casinos) know that he has a tribe beyond just our family unit. I will be using this page to help generate some flow in his social calendar. Background: We have a busy 3 and 5 year old with early bedtimes and jobs that can often be demanding. Even though we can’t be physically present everyday, I want to show my dad that there is a huge community of friends/fam/neighbors that are willing to lend a helping hand, stop by for dinner, give him a ride to check his powerball tickets lol or even just catch up or check in. Bonus points for anyone with an insider scoop on the home healthcare industry…. That’s a whole different ball of wax and level of necessity.
