I fell short this past year, but with the support of a village, I’ll achieve great success in 2025. The most daunting moment often emerges just before taking that initial brave step. The loss of a parent can profoundly destabilize one’s foundation, leaving an individual feeling adrift and isolated, even in the presence of loved ones. Words cannot adequately express the depth of despair that enveloped me upon losing my father; the world seemed to be draped in shadows. Growing up without his guiding presence and lacking a supportive embrace rendered me fragile, overly emotional, selfish, unsteady, and bewildered, leading me to feel as though I were failing as a mother. I pushed aside my sorrows, determined to uplift myself for the sake of my daughter. However, I now awaken each day burdened by a profound sense of confusion and grappling with financial struggles. I reach out in search of a lifeline, yearning for inspiration to reclaim my life and provide my daughter with the success and abundance she truly deserves. This journey often fosters feelings of isolation and disorientation, even amid a crowd. A year ago, I bravely embarked on the path of self-discovery, yet now it seems as though I have descended to new depths. Despite the vibrancy of the city surrounding me, the suffocating weight of loneliness can be overwhelming.
