Betty June Hawkins Obituary Betty June Hawkins, 91, of Holley, FL passed away on Wednesday 11/13/2024. Betty was born in Holley, FL to Faircloth Broxson and Lillie Mae Broxson. She married Doyle C Hawkins in 1949 and they lived a very happy life for 60 years. Doyle passed in 2009 and Betty has been loved and cared by her family for the past 15 years. Betty worked with the Santa Rosa County School system for 20 years as a Teacher Assistant where she met her best friend Charmaine Grimes and where she touched many children’s lives. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church for many years, where she and her husband were Youth Leaders and very active as the Pastor’s wife in the Community of Christ Church in Navarre. Everyone has called her “Granny” at the church. They all felt like they were loved like her grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Faircloth & Lillie Mae Broxson; her loving husband, Doyle C Hawkins; brother, Buddy Broxson and sister, Wanda Timlin. She is survived by her sisters, Billie Dean Wallace, Milton, FL; Linda Enzor, Milton, FL and Sylvia Crain, Milton, FL; Brother Mickey (Mary) Broxson, Holley, FL. She is survived by her children, Diane (Jim) Revere, Holley, FL; Dayle (Larry) Blackwell, Milton, FL; Deena (Bill) Smith, Holley, FL; Donnie (Pam) Hawkins, Holley, FL and Danny (Jamie) Hawkins, Holley, FL. Blessed with 18 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was also blessed with numerous nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel, 7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, FL 32566, with a visitation with family from 10:00-11:00 am and service at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Harper Cemetery, Highway 87, Holley, FL. Pallbearers will be Brad Willnecker, Clint Thomas, Jace Green, Rane Hawkins, Jared Hawkins and Huston Hawkins. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Timlin, James Broxson, Terry Wallace, Kim Wallace, Ricky Wallace, Bruce Broxson, David Cox, Justin Moxley and Jack Porter. The family would like to thank the staff with Emerald Coast Hospice for the love and care given to their mom during this time of her illness.
