We Love Our Grammi & Papa!

Sandy, UT

Story

We want to keep Grammi & Papa as happy, healthy, and independent as possible. Lately there have been a few "episodes" including "forgetting" to eat, dizziness, carrying items much too heavy for their ability, and illnesses where they didn't reach out for help or get to a doctor in a timely manner thinking they would just handle it themselves. While that was fine in their early 70's, at almost 80 and 80+, their bodies require some extra support even if their minds tell them they are still 60. They also more and more are eating fast-food/ fried food/ junk food and processed food (that has calories, but not actual nutrition), because they don't have the energy to cook themselves something from scratch. They then just eat a donut or candybar and call it good. With both of them diabetic, it creates a snowball effect with blood-sugar, immune support, and more issues. Filling in some gaps with actual food will hopefully support them in maintaining health and vibrancy for them to be able to enjoy their later years with grandchildren and greats and all the family. They don't know yet about this calendar and the requests. I thought we could see how it goes with just "randomly" reaching out to them- lol.

Special Notes

They both have DAIRY sensitivities. They try to ignore that and just take pills to help digest, but over time their guts tell the whole story. As dairy-free as possible for food, since they won't do it themselves. If you want to send them Doordash or the like, please check in when they will be home, order the food, and schedule it accordingly. Please don't just send a gift card. If food is there then they will eat. If they have to order it and wait then blood sugar drops and then they never order it. Papa does not like curries or foods with that type of flavor much. He's a pretty standard "meat and potatoes" type.
