Dear Friends and Family, My name is Priscilla, and I am the niece of Linda and Gary Cosgrove, who have been married for over 50 years and have been proud residents of Lake Orion for the last 30. My aunt and uncle are pillars of our community—selfless, caring, and always ready to help those in need. Three weeks ago, our lives changed when my uncle Gary, the strong and steadfast provider of their household, suddenly fell ill. After weeks of tireless work, Gary could no longer walk and was rushed to the emergency room. Doctors found lesions, and though they sent him home for further testing, his health quickly declined. He was soon back in the hospital, where it was confirmed that he has stage four lung cancer, which has unfortunately spread. Gary and Linda are among the most giving people you'll ever meet. For years, my uncle has been the unofficial "neighborhood watch," shoveling snow for everyone on their block and always stepping in to lend a hand. Linda and Gary have also been like second parents to me, stepping in to raise me for the past 36 years with love and care. As we navigate this uncertain and difficult road, I’m reaching out for your support.
