The Webber Family

Eugene, OR

Story

Hello friends! Please feed us while we adjust to the addition of a new baby in the family! The newborn stage can be grueling with nighttime feedings every two hours. Add in recovery from birth (which will hopefully be easier this time around) and a toddler - and we can guarantee that we will be very VERY grateful for any and all support given to us during the postpartum period. All of our family lives out of state, so we are particularly grateful to the friends in the Eugene area who are willing to show up for us. THANK YOU! For those that are interested in preparing meals, there are some suggestions below. For a home cooked meal: - a big, leafy salad (Cobb salad, kale salad, cesear, etc) - vegetables cooked pretty much anyway - cold grain salads (quinoa, orzo, pasta, etc) - enchiladas or burritos or bean bowls For a pre-made meal: - tamales from Pasterlia Colin on River Road - hand pies from Creswell Bakery - empanadas from Dominican Delights at the farmers market (can buy frozen!) - any of that good stuff from those saints at Costco For a take out meal: - anything from Sabai - anything from Laughing Planet - anything from Awheel Apizza - chicken burrito + carnitas burrito from your neighborhood taqueria For those of you who are interested and/or able to provide childcare - we would sincerely appreciate two toddler-free hours on Saturday mornings. You can take Ernest to the park, the library, on a walk, or to the Childern's museum. We will provide you a car seat if needed. We will use this time to bask in (maybe) some silence in the house? Ernest naps around 12-12:30pm. For those of you who are interested in the garden, Brett would appreciate help with weeding, stringing up plants, transplanting, etc etc. We will share whatever is fresh from the garden with you.

Special Notes

We have no dietary restrictions in general. If you are in doubt, feel free to ask via text if something sounds appealing. When dropping off, please knock lightly. We are open to short visits. If you bring us a re-usable container, we will wash + label it with your name and do our best to return to you eventually :) No special foods needs to be prepared for Ernest. He'll eat what we eat, and if he doesn't - we'll have plenty of options for him at home.
