Story
Rallying Ashley's amazing support network here in Seattle and afar to help ease her transition back into life on the West Coast after the passing of her mother, Kim.
Special Notes
How the meal train is set up to work: On Friday Mar 14th and Sunday Mar 16th, people dropping off food for the upcoming weeks. Trying to consolidate food deliveries to two days during the week and balance types of food she's getting. Doing a couple weeks worth of food to help with the transition back to Seattle. Not all the slots need to be filled, but would love to at least make sure the first week back she is feeling extra loved. There are slots to sign up for providing either prepared meals or groceries for dinner, lunch, or breakfast as well as sign ups for some sweet treats. Breakfast Ideas: Ashley is currently loving making her own greek yogurt bowls with fresh fruit, granola, and other toppings. She also enjoys making avocado toast, egg white bites (similar to Starbucks), or breakfast baked goods. Lunch Ideas: Prepared salads, hummus + veggies, fruit+cheese+crackers. Ashley prefers to eat light and healthy during this meal. We often joke about her "rabbit food" for this meal. (She will still be going in office most days, needs to be easily packable) Dinner Ideas: Soups, roasted veggies + chicken; anything from Half Baked Harvest recipes. Ash is feeling a little worn out from heavy comfort food, healthy options always welcome to her. Dessert/Snacks ideas: Anything sweet :), anything from Trader Joes, loves many local bakeries. Keep in mind Ash always has a TON of snack foods around her house, so would not go too crazy in store bought snack items. How else to help? Reach out just to say hello and help her feel connected to her support network on a regular basis. Ashley Gross will be leveraging group chat for activities to keep her busy and fulfilled! Think workouts, skiing buddies, farmers markets, etc. Please limit flower deliveries.
