The Talavera Family has lived in Lawndale for many generations. A fire of unknown origin consumed their family home. Frank, a newly elected Lawndale council member, grew up in this house and it was here that he and his wife, Mabel, raised their three children. Frank recently retired after 19 years of service as a high school teacher and is a pastor at Mission Ebenezer Family Church. Mabel is the Director of a Christian Preschool. Their son Frankie is a lumber salesman and their son Ezequiel is a Children’s Ministry pastor. Their daughter Melinda is recently married and no longer lives at home. The Talavera Family is eternally grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ who kept them safe during the fire and who has provided a community of support. They are also thankful to all friends, family, and neighbors who reached out to support them in their time of need. “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courtyards with praise.
