UPDATE: She has been rockin being off oxygen support for the past week 🙌 she has been working on feeding by mouth both breastfeeding and bottle & slowly increasing her total percentage! That's really our last step before we can go home. I'm praying it will be sometime next week! UPDATE: She’s fully off oxygen support and just working on feeding by mouth. Home stretch! She’s over 8lbs now. Doing great with breastfeeding! They had to put her back on cpap for 18hrs to help her lungs expand & are slowly decreasing the time on that. There’s a possibility she will go home on oxygen support. They hope not though! As for her MRI, they did not find any new bleeding or injury. They did see the old injury— bleeding & tissue shrinkage, that could present some developmental difficulties. They didn’t seem very concerned about it though and said they’re hopeful about therapeutic interventions and the brain’s neuroplasticity! Jess Luoma went into labor early on November 24th and at only 24 weeks pregnant gave birth to beautiful baby girl Kiah, a preemie who weighed only 1.6 lbs. Jess and baby are at UCSF where they will remain until February or March. PLEASE pray for Kiah, she is the tiniest little survivor! Pray for her brain and liver as the family waits for miracles, and pray for Jess, John and the two children Judah and Mojave.
