Both Josh and Becky are staying at the hospital, so we are trying to be mindful of how much "stuff" we bring. They have access to a shared fridge down the hall, so we are starting with one homemade meal a week. Please remember to make meals gluten free and limit any sort of food-prep that needs to be done (ie: food should be able to be easily heated in a microwave). If you could bring frozen water bottles with your meal, that will also help keep it cold in their cooler in their room. Ways to Help: 1. Gift Cards- Right now, we want to send them gift cards so they can get food, groceries, supplies, and money for gas/parking while they settle into their new rhythm. Restaurants and Grocery Stores nearby: Gia Pronto Kitchen (breakfast, salads, sandwiches and pizza), Greek Lady, HoneyGrow, Virasat Haveli (Indian and Pakistani cuisine), Goldie (vegan, Israeli-style falafel shop), Chipotle, Trader Joes, Giant, Wawa, Starbucks. 2. Drop-Offs- We anticipate needs changing day to day, so going to the hospital might involve running an errand, bringing food or other needed items, taking items from the hospital back to their house in Berwyn, or a visit if the Sauers are up for it and Charlie is well enough. 3. Encouraging words - Mail the Sauer's an encouraging note! We will be checking their mail and bringing cards for them to read during their stay.
