On 11/17, Zayne had a seizure that sent him to the hospital. After being sent home and almost a week at home, he still wasn’t right so mom took him into the children’s hospital where they found out that he had a sinus infection that had spread to his brain. With swift help from the doctors, Zayne underwent a sinus and brain surgery to clear the infections on 11/25. Zayne is currently still in the hospital recovering and is expected to be there for the next week or so. After they get home, the families journey is just beginning. As we are unsure what life will look like for the foreseeable future, we do know that it will be hectic and crazy as they navigate Zayne’s recovery. I started this page since I was being asked how people can help. At this point, it would be most helpful to take something off of Jaime and Pedro’s plates by helping out with meals for when they get home. This takes one thing off of their minds while they focus on Zayne and big sister Aaliyah. Please keep them all in your thoughts through this difficult time! Any support and help is appreciated!
