On October 2nd Paul was hit by a fully loaded dump truck on route 40 while driving his motorcycle. He sustained serious injuries and had to be med flighted to Lahey Hospital where he endured an abundance of injuries to his left side. He suffered multiple breaks in his arm, ribs, pelvis & entire leg. He underwent a 9 hour surgery and came out with lots of damage to his entire left side of his body! He endured a brain bleed and heart damage due to the trauma of the accident. He spent a total of 10 days in the hospital and went though multiple procedures during that time. He transferred to a rehab facility on 10/21 where he began PT and OT and has begun feeling like himself again. He is now being sent home on Monday 10/28 and will need lots of care from my mother. Given the fact that their life has been turned upside down I have decided to reach out for some help for them with meals and ways for people to help!!
