Story
I'm posting the update to my surgery I had February 18th so I can let everyone know at once. During the first surgery, they found DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) this is a non-invasive breast cancer. As well as the calcifications they went in to remove initially. I will need to have another surgery March 25th. Once I have healed from that surgery, I will have radiation treatment 5 days a week for 3 weeks. And then take hormone blockers (medication) every day for 10 years. This new diagnosis was a huge shock, but I am extremely grateful that this was found early and I am expected to make a full recovery. I am so thankful to all of my friends and family who have rallied around me during this time and my daughters, who have taken great care of me during recovery. On that note... #fuckcancer
