Malia was admitted to the hospital November 4th at 25 weeks pregnant. Malia had been hemorrhaging during her pregnancy causing her to be monitored frequently. They detected a fluid leak and found out her water had already broken. She cannot leave the hospital until baby is born at which point he will be in the nicu. The same week she was admitted she was notified that her dad passed away. She is his eldest child and is making all the arrangements from her hospital bed. She has also been arranging childcare and meals for her home and herself, it has not been easy. She is now 27 weeks and baby and mom are doing well. I am Malia’s mom and am crating this as I am leaving today to go to 2 months of pulmonary and pain rehab after having my lung removed. Malia and Marcus need all the help they can get as this has not been easy and it will be a while before things get back to a new normal in their lives.
