Thank you so much for all of the prayers, love and support for Chris and the Grassi family. They have the most amazing support system. Many have reached out asking how to help so wanted to create a way to communicate needs as they arise. On March 29th Chris was hospitalized for new cancer lesions in his brain. On April 4th he had major brain surgery to remove the largest of the tumors. After an 2 day stay in ICU he transferred to the neurology floor for monitoring during his recovery. Next steps are PT/OT and ST with plans for an inpatient rehab stay to maximize his recovery so he can return home! Next treatment steps include radiation to treat the remaining brain lesions and to get back to his chemo regimen to try to keep the initial salivary cancer in check. Chris, Rebekah and the boys’ needs will fluctuate as they travel down this road but we will try to update this page to provide the support they need in real time.
