Story
Julia's double mastectomy is scheduled for Feb 28! She's getting top surgery to affirm her non-binary identity. As y’all know, Julia has the biggest heart and is always down to help her friends and family. Now, it’s our turn to help care for her while she recovers. Meals, snacks, and warm wishes welcome. We appreciate your support! Special Notes
J doesn't like anything with apples or bananas. She should avoid high-sodium foods and stay hydrated to reduce swelling during recovery (electrolyte drinks/coconut water welcome, too!) These should be eaten in moderation: Almonds, Apricots, Berries (Black, Boysenberry, Raspberry, Strawberry), Cherries, Cucumbers, Pickles, Currants, Grapes, Prunes, Tomatoes, Chinese Black Beans. Low-Sodium Recipe Ideas: https://www.genderconfirmation.com/blog/post-op-low-sodium-food-options/ Julia will need pre- and post-op massage, so a gift card towards either would be greatly appreciated!
