Love for Taria

Story

Hello to all! Thank you in advance for taking time out to read my story. I am going to try and make a long story short :-) I have fibroids. Yes, many of you may know that this is my SECOND time having fibroids. Fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that grow in the uterus, or womb. They are made of muscle and tissue, and can vary in size from a grain of rice to a melon. Fibroids are also known as uterine myomas or leiomyomas. My fibroids are currently the size of a 5 month pregnancy, and it has been advised that I have (yet another) open myomectomy. An open myomectomy, also known as an abdominal myomectomy, is a surgical procedure that removes fibroids from the uterus through an incision in the lower abdomen. It's a major procedure that involves general anesthesia and a hospital stay. The first time I had this procedure was in July of 2017, and at that time, my fibroids were the size of a 7 month pregnancy. Once they were removed, and I was discharged, recovering at home, I began to have complications and had to be rushed back to the hospital. It was determined that I had formed a bowel obstruction, and needed a second operation on top of the first one I had just two days later. I had to get NG tubes forced down my nose four (4) times, and after 2nd procedure, I was unresponsive, and almost lost my life. I couldn't eat or drink for a total of 2 weeks! It was very TRAUMATIC for me to say the least. Now knowing that I must have this procedure again, is nerve-wrecking! However, I do believe God will bring me through again this time, and that I will not have to go through what I went through before. Will you believe God with me? I just got the surgery date today and now it's time to prepare! The actual date of the surgery is Monday, February 24, 2025. I will have to stay in the hospital overnight (2 nights max), and the recovery time is 6-8 weeks total. A family member suggested this website to me to encourage support, as I will definitely need it, and if you know my husband, he will need it too! Lol I didn't even know that something like this existed, but it is definitely helpful! If you feel led in anyway to be a support, we will GREATLY appreciate it. If you visit the Amazon wish list to the right of this page, those are the items I will need now to have for the surgery and recovery. If you are unable to support, PLEASE lend me your PRAYER support! That would be the most rewarding! We need prayer more than anything. Again, thank you in advance, and join me as I go through this journey!

Special Notes

Before my procedure, I wanna PIG OUTTTT lol.. So if you wanna go eat before hand, let me know, and we will go! Lol (That is so fat of me, lol) After my surgery, I desire to only eat fruits and vegetables. I am open to seafood as well (baked/grilled fish, salmon, crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, etc.) I love fruit salad (preferably melons - watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe; strawberries, grapes, etc) I love salads: Garden Salad, Caesar salad *I like ranch dressing* - I have been enjoying the kale chicken Caesar salads from honeygrow! (including broccoli, and everything else lol), I love tuna salad, salads and chicken salad, salads from wawa is good too! If dinner is made or purchased for both my husband and I, he is allergic to shellfish (nothing with a shell) There are items that I need and desire that would be helpful in my recovery, so if you are willing to get a gift card from anything on the wish list, that would be appreciated!
