Story
Making this page to help our sweet friend, Sky while he recovers from surgery! Knowing sky and having him as a friend is one of the greatest privileges I have come to know. During this time he is going to need us to show up for him the way he does for all of us. If you have never been through or cared for someone going through surgery, it is a very vulnerable time and incredibly painful so for the first week, I would love for people to sign up and plan to spend some time with Sky that day with the plan to acquire anything that he says he needs or make plans to help get him it (ie - script pick up, trash take out, percy assistance, grabbing favorite meal, getting food or getting food delivered if you can't be there when he is hungry!)
Special Notes
Sky is a pescatarian and some notes are here: Some Favorites: Tacos (fish, bean, mushroom, etc eg any filling) Just a Classic Grain/Green/Protein (so like rice, green beans, fake chicken is one I do often for an easy meal. Mashed potatoes, asparagus, steak I used to have a lot growing up (though obv don’t eat steak now). Anything in that sphere of like, 3 sides meals) -Soups, just, in general. Especially creamy/bisque/chowder-esque or matzoh ball. -Pot Pie / Savory Pies in general -Pasta with any sort of creamy sauce -Biscuits and Gravy Also: Another thing I realized I don’t love is lentils; again just texture wise— taste is fine! Will love basically any buttered grain/starch. I don’t think there is such a thing as too much garlic; and especially love couscous
