When I was diagnosed with breast Cancer in April 2022 because of my age (29 LOL) and because I had no family history, they did lots and lots of testing. Well come to find out I have a rare gene (lucky me right). So now that I have been good for a while my surgeon and my Oncologist have suggested to me to have a mastectomy. After lots of research, conversations with my counselors, doctors, and a couple of closes longtime friends. I have made the choice to proceed with the doctor's recommendation. I have a husband, 2 great son, and 3 wonderful grandsons that I want to be here for, and if this helps me to stay cancer free then that is what I am going to do. But with doing this I will be down for about 2 weeks so will need help suppling Derek and I with meals while I am recovering.
