Hello! My name is Holli and I helped Brady set up a meal train to try to lessen the burden and stress on Janell and her family during this time. On August 24, 2023, Janell went in for a routine thyroidectomy. During surgery they realized it would be more extensive as Janell's thyroid was full of cancer. The cancer had wrapped around a nerve and her vocal chords. Ultimately, Janell's nerve was not severed but they needed to reconstruct her esophagus, which has left her internally paralyzed on the left side. Also, while in surgery Janell had a prolonged seizure along with multiple other seizures and she spent 3 days in intensive care. Janell is now home but has a long road to recovery. Not only is Janell now battling cancer and internal paralysis but she also has her son, Brady, to care for. Janell has devoted the last 20 years to caring for Brady while he battles a life-ending illness, Riley-Day Syndrome. Please help ease Janell's burden by considering donating a meal.
