Story
Hi All - My name is Love. I started and am managing this page for Killy. Other than that, I am wholly unimportant. Here's a few of their words about their situation: "I have been having issues with a herniated disc in my back for years and I could rattle off a list of what I have done to try and handle it. Friday night [March 7] the pain got so bad I had to do breathing exercises to get through it annnnd parts of my body went numb." Killy went to the emergency room that night received pain management meds and was told that they would need to have surgery. While the surgery was scheduled for mid-April, Killy was in ever increasing pain. After filing a complaint with the Rhode Island Department of Health for aspects of their treatment, their surgery was cancelled by their [previous] surgeon's practice. On Friday, March 28 Killy was scheduled for the first of two consultation appointments with a practice regarding their back pain. At this appointment based on their description of their symptoms, the surgeon immediately prepared Killy to have emergency spinal surgery that evening. Killy here: surgery was a success and I am incredibly grateful to the staff at RIH as well as my friends and chosen family for rallying to help me during this emergency, with my blood family being hours away. I'm currently staying with Love and Ross while I am unable to use stairs.
