In January, our fun, cuddly and silly Sawyer was diagnosed with an aggressive brain stem tumor. Since then, he has been able to spend some time at home in Enterprise, and in February, he is beginning radiation treatments at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Emily and Sawyer (and sometimes the whole family) will be staying at her sister Stephanie's house in Ridgeland. The family appreciates all the outpouring of support, and so many of you have asked how you can help out. So, we've created this page to coordinate meals, provide updates, and suggest ideas that could help put a smile on Sawyer's face. We've got lots of options for bringing a meal or having food delivered. There's a wishlist with some useful gift card ideas for the family. And, we've created an Amazon wishlist, which we'll work to constantly update. All updates will be accessible through this website. SAWYER'S LIKES: Here are some of the things Sawyer is into these days. We will regularly update this list as 5-year-olds' likes and dislikes often change. -- Favorite color: Red -- Favorite shows and characters: Paw Patrol (Marshall is his favorite pup, but he loves them all); PJ Masks (he has super Gekko muscles); Octonauts; Gigantosauras -- Classic favorite characters: Transformers, superheroes of all kinds -- Favorite movie: LEGO Scooby Doo: Haunted Hollywood -- Favorite activities: Creating, drawing, and building; Reading books; Cuddling and watching TV

SCHEDULING A MEAL: On the calendar, you'll see lots of slots available to bring meals; it's simply meant to provide options for everyone who wants to help out. By no means do we expect all these slots to be filled. FOOD PREFERENCES: Sawyer is a spaghetti, mac and cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets/sandwiches and PB&J kind of kid. Em loves any kind of home cooking (pot roast, Chinese, Italian) and many of Jackson's local restaurants. Waitr is the preferred Jackson-area food delivery service, but GrubHub delivers to Steph's too. Watch the calendar for specific requests as cravings arise. :) NO VISITORS: Because we are still living in COVID times, we ask that there are no drop-in visitors. We will have coolers set up on Stephanie's front porch for dropping off meals according to the schedule. DONATIONS: The family is currently accepting donations through a special bank account, and all funds will go toward Sawyer's care.
