My mother, Patty Stevenson, was just recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and we are awaiting more news regarding her diagnosis. Still, during this time, my parents will need support by providing meals, providing rides for appointments and treatment, as well as financial support for medical bills and medications. We will continue to provide updates as we can and appreciate all your help and support during this time. Since 2017, my father, Mike Stevenson, has been fighting chronic kidney disease and has been searching for a donor for the past seven years while going through 3 rounds of dialysis each week. My mother has been my father's caretaker since the beginning, and now, with my mother's diagnosis, our family needs your help. If you wish to provide a meal, could you offer my parents a renal diet meal on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday (recipes are available online by searching renal diet dinner or dialysis/kidney-friendly recipes on Google). Please try to avoid spicy meals or meals that include pork. My mother will also need assistance getting rides to appointments and treatment as she is not permitted to drive from her diagnosis.
