Story
This October, Sheila received the diagnosis no one ever wants to receive; she found out that she has Stage 2 breast cancer. Sheila's world has been turned upside down as she now faces what life will look like in the coming months and years. Sheila has already had her port placed and is prepping her body for the treatment that will start on November 1st. Her treatments will consist of 5 months of chemotherapy and surgeries to hopefully destroy the cancer cells and prevent it from popping up anywhere else. Sheila lives in Rochester, WA, and will be receiving her treatments at Tacoma General Hospital. Many of us boaters know Sheila as the friendly face at Tyee Marina, where she has worked for the last 9 years, and with the company for 23 years. Her toughness is on full display as she continues to work as much as she'll be able to. Unfortunately, the medical and living expenses are already piling up and won't stop. If she has to take time off of work to battle her cancer, that will only create more stress as she navigates this journey. If you are able to donate, please do! Any amount will help and I know Sheila will be forever thankful. Let's all help support Sheila in her fight and shower her with prayers and donations! Thank you
