Story
Welcome to Big Vics page! Vickie (Mom) has Stage 3 Spindle Cell Sarcoma. August 2024 she was seen at Kettering medical center in Huber Heights complaining about a lump on her thigh. After some scans she was referred to a Orthopedic Oncologist in Cincinnati. After many tests and scans she got the diagnosis. She has a VERY large tumor 26cm as of Nov 2024 on her thigh and is still growing. After many many referrals to many different doctors and hospitals she landed at OSU The James with a Sarcoma specialist Dr. Liebner. She is too weak for normal chemo so she will be getting a Keytruda infusion, which is a immunotherapy medication. She gets this every 3 weeks. She will also be starting radiation at Soin cancer center for 5 weeks. After the treatments she will undergo surgery to remove the tumor at OSU. Nov 18th is 1st Keytruda infusion. At this time she is unable to walk or stand for long periods of time. She is nauseated every min of everyday. She is on medication for the nausea but nothing is working at the moment. We are trying to keep her weight up so she's good to go for treatment. We need everyone's prayers..good vibes and positive thoughts during this journey. Navigating this diagnosis has been not only physically hard but also mentally taxing. So let's ban together for her! #BeatItWithBeek šš
